Jay Z Buys 100 Copies of Nipsey Hussles Crenshaw!!
Hova posted an image of a bunch of stacked Crenshaw albums on his Life + Times blog (with the caption #NewRules), while Nipsey confirmed that was indeed Shawn Carter who spent $10,000 supporting the L.A. native-- meaning Jay bought 100 coies. Nipsey posted a receipt of the transaction belonging to S Carter Enterprises on his Instagram account, which you can check out in the gallery above, as well as Jay Z's photo.
Only 1000 copies were made, were you one of the ones who purchased it? If you didn't have $100 to shell out, you can download the tape for free below.
Shout to Jay Z for buying 100 copies of #Crenshaw! http://t.co/0q0ymjOiFg http://t.co/L2HGopo7Ob

Why Nipsey Hussle Is Selling His Mixtape For $100!
"It’s 2013. Whether we except it or not, buying music is a choice, not a requisite. When I think of the psychology behind what makes me purchase an artists album, it’s always a form of reciprocation. Almost like a token of appreciation after I experience the product.
The reason I chose to charge $100 dollars each copy and only start with 1000 units is because I tailor making my music for those who are listening…it’s not about stepping outside of what I’m known for in hopes of new discovery. What that means less is fans that are better served. (Kinda like the effect of less kids in a class room leading to a better education)
I’m more or less focused on fully serving the ones that have connected all ready. That being said its a value over volume thing…if I’m goin to offer a product made with no compromise or concession to the platforms (radio, A&R opinion, label bias) ect…ect..then the way we sale it has to change.
Hence PROUD2PAY.
As an artist my goal is to inspire…entertain…motivated…and most importantly INOVATE. And as lovers of art we should base our purchase on the artists ability to do so. That being said, if my presence in the game has had any of those effects on you $100 is your form of saying don’t change.
It ISN’T the price of the plastic case and polyurethane disc…it’s the price of Revolution! The price of Rebellion against an industry that has tricked us all into making products that have no soul for fear of not being heard if we don’t.
I have over 400k followers on twitter 140k on Instagram and 400k on Facebook but what good are they if they don’t mobilize around my releases? if only 1000 of those people are engaged to the point of brand loyalty then that’s who I’m focused on.
That being said: I fux w who fux w me. I have no plans to change up or go left on my people for hopes of a lager audience. And I have a feeling that this 1st 100 will be the evangelist to my cause.
Like Frank Lucas said nobody owns me. We might have to go into the jungle for it to work but once we get it… It’s blue magic.

— Scott Mescudi (@ducidni) September 27, 2013
There should never be a festival devoted to one genre of music ever. It should be a cluster fuck of it all. Well, country but thats it haha

Justin Timberlake Ft. Drake - Cabaret (Prod. By Timberland)
New music from Justin Timberlake with a verse from Drake. Produced by Timberland.
Drake's Response To "Control"
All the commotion surrounding Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse has subsided, and one question remains-- are you still bumping the track? It's a question Drake asked during his interview with Elliott Wilson for Elliott's CRWN series.
The interview took place last night, and while it hasn't actually aired yet,Twitter came through with much of Drizzy and Elliott's discussion. During the two-hour conversation, they inevitably touched on K. Dot's verse on "Control."Drake's comments on the track and verse in question have surfaced online. The rapper previously said, "I know good and well that Kendrick’s not murdering me, at all," but now he's elaborated more on where he think Kendrick messed up on the record.
"That ['Control'] verse was a moment to talk about. Are you listening to it now, though?," Drake asked, before continuing, "He didn’t come in there on some wild, ‘I’m in New York, fuck everybody.’ I almost wish he had come in there on that shit because I kind of lost a little bit of respect for the sentiment of the verse. If it’s really ‘fuck everybody’ then it needs to be ‘fuck everybody’. It can’t just be halfway."
Do you guys agree with Drake? Are you still playing "Control"?

DJ Khaled Rumored To Have Smash Hit With Big Names!!
"No New Friends" was a pretty big first single for DJ Khaled, but it seems he might have something even more monstrous up his sleeve. According to ItsBizkit, Khaled has been (rightfully) bragging about a track he has withDrake, Jay Z, Rick Ross, and Future, which kind of sounds like the ultimate Khaled track.
No confirmation on whether this is actually happening, but if it is, expect it sooner rather than later.
dj khaled talkin bout he got the best album cuz he got a track wit Drake Hov Ross & Future on the hook

Crenshaw's Very own Nipsey Hussle!
When talking about the the "new west" Nipsey Hussle has to be mentioned in that conversation. Ermias Ashedom A.K.A. Nipsey Hussle was raised in a neighborhood near south centrals intersection Crenshaw and Slauson. He has worked with rappers such as Meek Mill, YG, Drake and Snoop Dogg.
Nipsey Hussle first got national recognition when "Hussle In The House" was released on BAGNV2 late 2008. In 2008 Nipsey released two street tapes Bullets Ain't Got No Name, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Then signed with Cenematic Music Group and Epic Records. In 2009 Nipsey released Bullets Ain't Got No Name, Vol.3. After BAGNV3 was released the label was ready to give Nipsey a push. He titled his first studio album "South Central State of Mind" and it was scheduled to be released in the summer of 2009 but was postponed indefinitely. In 2010 he was chosen for XXL Magazines "Annual Freshmen Top Ten", a selection of ten up-and-coming artist in 2010, as "Most Determined". He would then release his first single "Feelin Myself" featuring singer Lloyd. He started going through some trouble with his Epic Records after feeling like he was getting the proper push or representation and was dropped in late 2010. He bounced back with "The Marathon" a mixtape that would push his independent career in the right direction. A lot of people say that The Marathon was suppose to be his album with Epic. He then hit the road for 8 months on a tour across the US. His next project in 2012 was "TMC:The Marathon Continues". The second installment was just as good as his first one. It gained him the respect from the rest of the rap world. It got his record deal talk boiling again with labels offering top dollar for the west coast MC.
Nipsey decided to keep his career on the independent route. He revolutionized a T-shirt that he has worn from the beginning of his career to now. It reads "Crenshaw" across the front and has an authentic "The Marathon" tag on the bottom corner. He owns a clothing store on the corner of Crenshaw and Slauson. Next door to his clothing store he also has ownership of a cell phone store.
He is set to release "TM3:VictoryLap" as his first album. With no official release date he leaked 6 tracks that will not be on a project. He is set to release his next project "Crenshaw" on October 8, 2013. First single for Crenshaw is called "Checc Me Out". I'm excited to hear his music. He brings a good vibe to the west coast scene. With mellow beats and inspiring rhymes I place Nipsey high on the west coast ranking.
All Money In, No Money Out!!
